Ultraviolette X-47
The X47 Crossover is Ultraviolette’s attempt to attract buyers who usually choose petrol bikes in the same price range and encourage more people to try electric motorcycles. In simple words, the company wants to show that an electric bike can be exciting to ride and practical for daily use at the same time. After riding the bike for almost a week, we feel Ultraviolette has done a good job in achieving this.
- The bike has a stylish design with balanced proportions that easily grabs attention.
- Its upright riding position and wide handlebar make it comfortable and easy for most riders to handle.
- The suspension is well tuned and absorbs potholes and rough roads smoothly.

Ultraviolette X-47 Performance
If you think electric two-wheelers are boring and only made for daily travel, the X47 Crossover can completely change that opinion. Its 30kW (40bhp) electric motor delivers strong and smooth acceleration that instantly feels exciting to ride.
The bike picks up speed very quickly and keeps pulling strongly till around 120 kmph, making overtaking easy in both city traffic and on highways. Even in the mid-level Combat mode, the performance feels very impressive. When switched to Ballistic mode, the acceleration becomes much more aggressive and powerful. To give you an idea, Combat mode feels similar to a 250-300cc petrol bike, while Ballistic mode feels closer to a 500-600cc motorcycle.
The Glide mode is best suited for heavy city traffic because the throttle response is smoother and easier to control. Most experienced riders will probably prefer using Combat mode for regular riding. The claimed top speed is 145 kmph, although the acceleration starts becoming slower after 120 kmph.
Since the bike is very fast, it also gets powerful brakes. The front brake has strong stopping power and gives the rider a lot of confidence. The brake lever also provides good feel, making it easy to control braking. The rear brake is also well balanced and works nicely along with the front brake when needed.
Talking about handling, the X47 is not as light or agile as some petrol bikes because of its weight. The 10.3kWh version weighs 207kg, which is heavier than bikes like the Aprilia Tuono 457. You can notice this extra weight while moving the bike manually or riding at very low speeds.
However, once the speed goes above 20 kmph, the bike hides its weight surprisingly well. It feels stable, responsive, and confident while riding through traffic or changing lanes. In corners, it needs a little effort to lean into turns, but once leaned over, the bike feels stable, predictable, and comfortable to ride.
Ultraviolette X-47 Display & Connectivity
The Ultraviolette X47 comes with a modern 5-inch touchscreen display that gives the bike a premium and futuristic feel. The screen is bright, easy to read, and shows important riding information like speed, battery level, riding mode, range, navigation details, and trip information clearly. Even while riding in sunlight, the display remains visible and user-friendly.
The bike also supports smartphone connectivity, allowing riders to connect their phone to the motorcycle through a dedicated mobile app. With this feature, users can access ride information, battery status, charging details, and other smart functions directly from their smartphone. It makes the riding experience more connected and convenient for daily use.

Another useful feature is OTA (Over-The-Air) software updates. This means the bike’s software can be updated automatically through the internet, just like a smartphone. Riders do not need to visit a service centre every time a new feature, bug fix, or performance improvement is released. This helps keep the bike updated with the latest technology and improvements over time.
The X47 also offers detailed ride analytics, which helps riders track their riding habits and performance. It can show information such as distance travelled, energy usage, average speed, riding efficiency, and battery consumption. These details help riders understand their riding style better and improve overall efficiency.
For added convenience, the bike includes navigation support. Riders can use turn-by-turn navigation directly on the display, making it easier to travel to new places without constantly checking their phone. This feature is especially useful during long rides and city commuting.
Ultraviolette X47 Safety & Technology
The Ultraviolette X47 comes loaded with advanced safety features that are usually seen in premium cars and superbikes. These technologies are designed to make riding safer, smarter, and more comfortable for both city rides and highway journeys.
One of the most useful features is radar-based blind spot monitoring. The bike uses radar sensors to detect vehicles that may be riding in areas that are difficult for the rider to see through mirrors. If another vehicle enters the blind spot, the system gives a warning to help avoid accidents while changing lanes or turning.
The bike also gets lane change assist, which adds extra safety during highway riding. When the rider tries to switch lanes, the system checks nearby traffic and alerts the rider if another vehicle is too close. This helps make lane changes smoother and safer.
Another important feature is rear collision warning. The radar system monitors vehicles coming from behind and warns the rider if another vehicle is approaching too quickly. This can help riders react faster and reduce the chances of rear-end accidents, especially in traffic or during sudden braking situations.
The X47 also includes overtake alerts, which are very useful on highways. The system informs the rider when another vehicle is attempting to overtake from behind or from the side. This improves awareness and gives the rider more confidence during high-speed riding.
For braking safety, the bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System). This system prevents the wheels from locking during sudden or hard braking. It improves stability and control, especially on wet roads or slippery surfaces, helping the rider stop the bike more safely.
The motorcycle also features dynamic stability control, which constantly monitors the bike’s movement and traction. If the system detects loss of grip or instability, it automatically adjusts power delivery and braking support to help keep the bike stable. This feature is especially useful during sharp turns, fast acceleration, or riding on uneven roads.
Adding to the safety package are front and rear dashcams. These cameras continuously record the surroundings while riding and can be useful for security, ride recording, or accident evidence if needed. Riders can also save memorable ride moments and review footage later through the connected system.
