The Mahindra XEV 9S is Mahindra’s first three-row, seven-seater electric SUV. It is available with three battery options: 59kWh, 70kWh, and 79kWh. The SUV comes with a triple 12.3-inch screen setup, powered boss mode for the rear seats, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a large panoramic sunroof.
As of August 2026, the Mahindra XEV 9S starts at Rs. 20.65 lakh for the base model and goes up to Rs. 30.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top model.
The Mahindra XEV 9S is a premium three-row electric SUV with 6- and 7-seat configurations. It is based on Mahindra’s INGLO EV platform and uses a rear-wheel-drive setup. As of August 2026, the XEV 9S is available with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options.
Price and On-Road Price
The XEV 9S starts at around Rs. 20.65 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to around Rs. 30.90 lakh ex-showroom for the top 6-seater version. The exact on-road price depends on the city, RTO charges, insurance and other costs. For example, Mumbai on-road prices are listed from about Rs. 22 lakh to Rs. 31.90 lakh.

All versions use a rear-mounted electric motor and rear-wheel drive. The 79kWh version offers the highest claimed range of up to 679 km.
Mahindra also claims fast charging, with the 79kWh battery able to charge from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes using a suitable DC fast charger.
Performance
The XEV 9S delivers strong performance despite its large three-row body. The most powerful 79kWh version produces around 286 hp and 380 Nm, while Mahindra claims a 0–100 km/h time of about 7 seconds and a top speed of 202 km/h

Interior Features
The Mahindra XEV 9S features three large 12.3-inch screens arranged across the dashboard. These screens give the cabin a modern and high-tech appearance while providing important information and entertainment functions.
